Hi,

i've just built my first gaming pc and realised I don't have any headphones to go with it :o. So I need a new pair, they must:

Cost no more than £50
Have 5.1 for games
Have maximum noise isolation

So I was thinking the Corsair HS1 would be good?

They seem to be getting good reviews, and have a microphone which is a bonus.

Thanks for any help,

I'm looking at those too... not sure if I understand the benefit between them being USB or not USB... Anyone shed more light on it?

USB version have their own sound device and surround sound processing. The analogue version would need a sound card with either CMSS 3D, Dolby Headphone, or DTS' version, in order to get surround sound effect.

Anyone with a decent sound card, would want the analogue version. Going for the USB version, would render their sound card useless. Anyone who has no intention of buying a sound card, would probably choose the USB version.

Thanks for that information. I am currently only using onboard sound so I guess the USB is better for me?
