I'm building a system that will be mainly used for gaming at 1600x1050. I plan to play games such as bad company 2, crysis and probably bf3 when it comes out.
The one component I am certain I will get is the HD 6850. For the resolution I'm playing at it seems like a good option.
Now the one thing that I am unsure about is what cpu I should get. I'm hearing good things about sandy bridge, mainly the i5 2500k and how good value it is. I hear that its very easy to oc as well. However the prices of a p67 motherboards are putting me off. Its more than likely if I bought the sb with a p67 mobo, I would not be able to afford the 6850.
Another good option might be the x6 1055. I hear that this is very good for overclocking and I could probably get this to 3.8 ghz. The am3 mobos are considerably cheaper as well.
So for gaming what would be best for me. Getting a x6 1055t with a hd6850 or a i5 2500k with a lesser graphics card?
