which system would you choose and why?

hi guys, I am building a new system and I have 2 set ups, 1 of my own (first 1) and another which some1 was kind enough to recommend. I purely use my pc for gaming and nothing else. I have no idea what I am doing so I thought I would ask the pro's on here :p I am unsure if the system I put together would connect correctly let alone fit in the tower I selected. any advice would be great, or should i just choose the 1 some1 has recommended me. my budget is around 1200 currently so any advice etc would be appreciated.

also will the cooler I chose be suitable for the cpu? or would you recommend something else?

the main reason I chose the cpu I did is because of this website. maybe I am a fool for listening to it?

Hi,

The build posted below has a much faster GPU, similar CPU (faster in some scenarios, slower in others) more RAM and at a faster speed, and a better PSU. The disk drive is missing, but the included version of windows 10 comes on a USB key - so no need for a disk drive. The case is sound-dampened, has a PSU shroud and is easy to build in.

If you wanted an Intel build (i5-8600k/Z370/CPU cooler) you'd need to drop down to 8GB RAM, swap to a GTX 1070, get a cheaper case and a cheaper PSU.

But, the Ryzen build offers more performance in my opinion. Also, the AM4 motherboard socket that Ryzen uses also has a great upgrade path until 2020. In February of next year AMD releases their next iteration of CPUs called 'Ryzen+'. This could be a great option if you find the Ryzen 1600 to be too slow.

I have i5 8400 and Ryzen 1600 and would pick the Intel for gaming .
I don't think in the above video it's overclocked .
Searching around you'll find i5 8400 was recommended for the budget gamer, as WHEN it was released it was only £20/$20 more then the i3 8350k.... Now it's a lot more pricer .

Prob would recommend that above build , few slight tweaks for GPU with longer warranty.
Ditching the 275gb SSD and 1 TB HDD for a single larger 500gb drive. Can always buy HDD later as prices won't increase compared to SSD. Installing windows Fall update take£ up 40GB , can delete older versions to free up some space though !

Saving on case and card get moved to the SSD .
If not keep the to drives above and saved yourself £20

As for cooler
£25 aftermarket will run it 20c cooler.. but damn , 4ghz ... Got a lucky chip, wonder how many volts through that
