so, laptop is currently being fixed and I think it's going to be claimed by the wife..
which means I need a backup device for work, I mainly work at my desk on my desktop PC. Which is a beast and I love it
once a month or so I have to go to the office, and I'm wanting a portable device capable of running Excel (yup the powerhouse programme!) and google for emails etc.
I've had a surface before and that's currently top contender.
We've got a POS Acer laptop which was about £400 and it's TERRIBLE! my phone is considerably quicker so i'm concerned that tablets have gone the same way and you need to spend a small fortune to get anything worth while.
For the most part the table will probably be used by me of an evening to look through crap websites and use much the same way as I do my phone. But it needs to do the work side of things too.
are the entry level tablets as bad as the entry level laptops? if so i'll stick with the laptop I have and the wife will have to share.
