Weird question and i realise the 2 games are totally different but yesterday a mate of mine bet me a tenner he could get to lvl 70 on Modern warfare 2 online before i could get to lvl 70 on WoW. Not one to turn down a bet, i accepted but I have *no* idea how the 2 games compare in terms of XP required to level. I've never played modern warfare 2.

If you did it normally, you could probably rush to 70 faster in WoW than MW2. However, there's loads of hacked MW2 servers which ding you right up to Lv70 without you needing to do anything.

This, if he goes on a hacked server he could get to 70 within a few kills my mate did it =\.

If you do it legit i would put my money on WoW being easier/faster to level to 70.

On a hacked MW2 server you can get to level 70 with your first kill.

Even playing normally I reckon you could get to level 70 on MW2 far quicker that in WoW.

My average to get to level 70 of MW2 is about 45 hours, playing almost exclusively on Domination.

Playing a mixture of groundwar and HQ (I think) if your a good player you can get to L70 legit in MW2 pretty quickly - I think about 17 hours. AFAIK the quickest you can legit get to L70 in WoW is about 56 hours (tho that might have changed with newer content - not a game I keep uptodate with).

EDIT: I think groundwar was just the fastest way to get certain unlocks, if you go purely for levelling then playing HQ mode over and over I think was possible to get L70 really quick.

used to take me about 1 day in game time to get 1-70 on cod.

WoW has took me over i dunno 4 days and im only like level 66.

Wow, its been a few years since i stopped playing world of warcraft but i think the fastest i levelled to 60 was about 2 weeks playing time. 56 hours? what a joke

Yeah, the new WoW quests are exceptionally good but the game is a lot shorter. It took me a week to get to 60, and that's with Uni, work, etc.

2 weeks in-game, or 2 weeks of real time? There are folks in our reroller's guild who went from 1 - 85 within 5 days actual play time. Plus, the levelling experience from 1 - 80 is much faster than it used to be, the same as 1 - 60 got faster after TBC came out, and 1 - 70 got faster after WotLK released.

2 weeks in game time(from what i remember from 4 yrs ago, not entirely sure how accurate that figure is), not that i minded spending that long levelling up, i used to enjoy it. I just cant believe it changed so much from what it used to be like.

I have played both games far too much.

You can play MW2 without much of a clue and get to 70 in 30 hours. I have not made a alt on wow recently but i would expect youd only hit 70 in 30 hours if you know what you are doing. I remeber it took me 6 days play time just to level a rogue to 60 pre tbc but you can level MUCH faster now.
