hi am running a e6300 at 3ghz.its cooled by a ninja with the 120mm fan.coretemp says 58c under load but speedfan says 48c.which is right?
have got everest but cant seem to get a core temp reading.how do i get this to display.
thanx :)

ok.i just installed easytune 5 [the gigabyte mobo utility] and its agreeing with the speedfan temp, so ill asume this is the correct temp.its also the lowest one :D

I would still use Everest as i bet it confirms the coretemp temperatures.

ASUS Probe, speedfan etc all give the wrong temps for me (too cool as well). As far as i'm aware these programs all just take from the same place whereas coretemp (and now everest) take their readings from the actual chip itself. Seems quite a new thing. In any case you're within limits lol
