hello
i am getting different temps depending on what monitoring software i use as shown below

my own motherboard pc health software says 44c and core temp gives 62c
i need to know which one i should believe before i start to think about overclocking

hello
can anyone help with this even at idle there is a temp difference of about
10c with pc health giving 32c and core temp giving 42c

As i understand it coretemp takes its readings from a sensor actually in the cpu core, or something like that where as most "cpu" temp sensors as supplied by mobo manufacturers take it from a sensor on the mobo.

Therefore i would trust core temp more.

if u want 100% accurate temp readings of the cpu cores use intel temprature analysis tool or TAT ;) sorry didnt read sig not sure this will work with amd chip

ok guys
thanks for the info looks like i`ll need to think about better heatsink before overclocking

ps tat does not work with amd gives invalid processor error
