Hi,

I'm looking for a TFT, preferably 19" and around £200 that would be good for internet browsing, using Office and watching DVD's, TV and video files. Game playing is not very important to me.

I would mainly be able to view the screen head on so unrestrictive viewing angles are not *all* important but if possible would be nice. I've been considering the Acer WS and the Samsung 913N, but I'm not sure which of these (if either!) to go for. I've also seen a Dell 1905FP 20ms version on a competitors website for not much over £200, but it is a refurbished model. Would that mean it could have dead pixels and I wouldn't be able to send it back if it did? I'm guessing I'd be safer with a new screen.

Thanks for any help,
Felix

Thanks for the reply Baddass, I may give the company selling the refurbished screen a ring and see why they are being sold as refurbished... presumably under distance selling regulations I could return it anyway if I wasn't happy.

Can anyone tell me if I will find a TFT much better for reading text? Will it be brighter and clearer? I wear lenses and sometimes find it hard to read text on screen, sometimes things seem to go a little blurry and I have to refocus and/or increase the text size quite a bit. I know TFT's are meant to be easier on the eyes, but overall can anyone say if they find them better or worse.. especially at the price I am looking at.
