which thermal compound

any 1 got any recommendations for a decent but reasonable priced compound. how good is the OCZ paste?

OCZ freeze is supposed to be good, but you still can't get much better than arctic silver 5.

OCZ freeze or arctic MX-2.

AS5 if you have to, but it'd be my third choice.

The Noctua TIM is very good. MX-2 is much easier to apply though.

Yeah shame that because it really is good, I have two tubes here myself. I was surprised it was better than the MX2 which has been a favourite of mine for a while now.

Oh and on the subject of OCZ freeze or Arctic cooling MX-2, both of these pastes are good, their main advantage over AS5 is a much shorter curing time (AS5 takes up to 200hours to cure). Because of this very long curing time, OCZ freeze or MX2 often appear better in cooling comparisions, but once the AS5 has cured properly, it is apparently slightly better. (all 3 are a good choice TBH).
