Which thermal compound?

My Arctic Silver finally ran out. Do i stick with AS or are there others that are worth looking at?

Personally I've always used Mx-4 over silver, non conductive, spreads easier, easier to clean off, better temperatures on my rig.

Can't put it better than that!

I did hear there were other products around that we now better than AS. Similar prices as well.

I like IC Diamond, difficult to spread but the thermal conductivity is the best.

I like MX-4 too and have used it in countless rigs but I have also used IC7/24 diamond and it is better in my opinion. Harder to clean off mind.

I still use MX-4 and sometimes AS5 - I've rarely seen much if any difference between the two tbh (MX-4 seems to give slightly better short term results but tend to even out long term), I'm not a fan of spreading by hand either - I've consistantly seen the best results from drawing a line of paste over the cores.

EDIT: The only exception to that is the Gelid extreme which has the viscosity to spread properly.

Liquid ultra here, you do have to be careful applying it though. But its much better than conventional pastes.

yeah that stuff is by far the best and most costly I wanna try it eventually with my kraken x60

I lapped and applied some MX-4 to my CPU and temps are down by 2-3'C
