which to choose?

Hi guys, i'm currently using an AMD opteron 170 running @ 2.7ghz

intending to jump to DDR2,

i would like to know comparing

Opteron 170 2.7ghz

Vs

AM2 X5200 @ 2.7ghz
C2D E4400 @ 2.7ghz

will the latter 2 be faster than my opty?
if yes, among those 2 which will be faster?

hmm does the 4mb actually affect the performance?

btw i'm looking at the asus P5B mobo, the most basic one of the P5B series..
will it be sufficient for me to get either the E4400/E6320 to 3.0ghz?
