Hi All :)

Now I've been offered a TomTom for Christmas and have been looking at their website,

I really like the look of either the TomTom GO 710 or the ONE Europe.

The price difference is £100

These are the differences as far as I can see.

710 has a bigger 4Inch Widescreen
710 has Bluetooth for hands free goodness
and pre-installed Scamera database.

Now as far as I am aware you can install the scamera database if I get the ONE Europe anyway...can't I?

So Bluetooth would be nice, as I plan on having some form of handsfree in my car, but have no idea what the voice quality is going to be like.

So providing you can install the extra camera software would I be right in thinking that the extra £100 is mainly for the larger screen?

Just trying to save my folks a bit of cash :) so I've pretty much convinced myself to go for a ONE Europe, but if anyone can convince me otherwise....then feel free :D

Thanks all :)

I've seen DickDicks and HarryHarrys for about £50, they're just as good.

Edit, I'll admit that was a poor joke *hangs head in shame*

All of which the TT 510 has but for £££'s less. The 710 just has more maps for europe etc.

And don't rely on the TomTom Scamera database!... its crap!, Get the PPGS Database! its £2 on off or £25odd for Life updates!

I'd go for the 510 or 710!... I've got the 500 which has Bluetooth Handsfree and the Sound quality is very good!... plus you can get a Dock replacement that has ISO plugs to route the sound to your Car speakers and Mute the Radio/CD... Just remember to get the Mic extention (or as I've done a cheap PC mic for £5) as the Mic on the Dock is a bit weedy!

The One v2 is good but it just feels a bit plasticy and Toylike!!, the Go's (510/710/910) just feel a bit more substantial!.

Sim :)
