im currently using a cheap TV freeview card that has lasted me well, i originally bought it on ebay for £15 to get it going. its now failed
I have previously tried the top of the range hauppauge model and found it stuttering like hell (i dont have dual core, but i have been to heaven and hell trying to solve it), so i dont really want to go back to hauppauge.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a good TV card for recieving freeview?

I've got one of the Compro ones that OcUK sell, am very happy with it, great little card for £30, stable, great picture, comes with remote control, worht a look mate :)

I'm looking a TV card too as planning on moving my PC into a more home theatre role and teaming it up with a 32" Samsung HD TV (I think - it's a lot of dosh)

Would this card be good for this that you lot have mentioned? Ultimately I want to be able to record TV, watch TV, watch DVDs (Reigon 1 and 2) and record Radio broadcasts, namely radio 1 essential mixes etc.

Slightly off topic but i thaught it might be worth mentioning that the compro dtv cards seem to work perfectly fine also in cyberlink power cinema as an alternative to mce or compros own software which incidently has been upgraded to ComproDTV3 with a new look and updated driver to make the remote work again ;)
