Im currently after a TV card for my pc card but since i know absolutely zilch about them i thought it would be better to ask you lot about them so that i can get a good idea of what type of card i need. I have a few requirements and questions about a TV card before i make a purchase,,,,
this would be my first look at a TV card so some help as to what sort of card i would need would be nice.
- Must be able to recieve BOTH digital and analogue signals
- Must be HDTV compliant. I have a dell 2407 so the ability to watch in HDTV will be a requirement.
- A remote control would be nice, especially one for DVD viewing as i have a large dvd collection. One with the ability to turn my system on and off would be great since i will be using my PC as my main means of viewing TV since i dont watch that much TV beyond Top Gear, Horizon and the almost every film thats shown film...
- Recording television to my harddrive for later viewing would be a secondary requirement. However i would like to ask how much hard drive space a recording would make and whether recording in HDTV or normal analogue TV would make a difference to a recordings size? Also how much hard drive space would a typical 30 mins recording take HDTV or otherwise??
this would be my first look at a TV card so some help as to what sort of card i would need would be nice.
