Hi guys.

I have a VM Superhub V2 connected to the PC and a server at one end of the room and all's good, I can see the server and transfer files etc.

At the other end is the TV, Sky+ box, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and a Blue ray box and a Home Cinema amp.

I have the 2 X-boxes and Sky + connected at the moment through an old VM router and they can access the internet fine but all I can see is the router from my VM Superhub V2 online interface and I cant configure the far router online.

So I need a box with 8 ports to allow for all devices at the other end of the room to be connected :D

I also need to be able to see the individual boxes so that I can set up port forwarding etc on the Xbox one via the browser interface. My partner is suffering from a strict NAT ;) and despite opening ports etc on the Superhub V2 I cant change the NAT for her to open. I suspect its the old router causing the problems and it needs changed anyway to allow more devices to be connected.

So what's the best bit of kit at a reasonable price that will look transparent to the xbox's but allow me to manage it, Or alternatively a non-managed switch even.

I was thinking along the lines of the Linksys SE2800 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch.

Thanks guys.

Any 8 port unmanaged gigabit switch will do what you want. Beyond cosmetics and the warranty there isn't much to choose between different models. Just choose one you like the look of.
