as said above, you will find it hard to find a non TN Film 22" model anyway. Fwiw, S-IPS has it's advantages since viewing angles are very wide. However, black depth is only average, and movie "noise" can be more apparent than on some other techs generally. Dynamic contrast ratio control can be handy for improving movie viewing experience and black depth on the fly. S-PVA offers very good black depths, and wide viewing angles as well. viewing angles are more than adequate for movie viewing. S-PVA tends to be pretty bad for movie noise as well, but P-MVA tends to be a fair bit better in this regard, while still offering comparable performance to S-PVA
So, I'd say S-PVA or P-MVA if you can find it would be best bet for a movie screen.
