Which under £300 netbook to go for?

Will be used for internet inc Youtube etc and word processing etc. Has to be Windows not Linux muck

Would be good to be white as that will please the wife

Have been looking at the MSI Wind U100 as it's only £281 inc.

What do you chaps recommend?

I've just ordered a HP Mini 700

Seems to suit the bill, only thing it drops over the samsung is 60gb vs 160gb... but it does look a LOT nicer than the Samsung

Well I've ordered the MSI Wind U100 for £279 delivered, the one with the 120Gb HD.

Looks like a good deal to me

Hav'nt got a netbook myself but the common consensus i've seen is that the samsung nc10 is the best.

Whats the best 2Gb memory stick to buy for these? Does lower timings increase performance noticably?

mine was 2gb Kingston DDR2 667mhz cost about £15... seems to help a bit nothing major but i can notice it

I just got an Advent 4213, it's been getting fairly good reviews but the deciding factor for me was HSDPA built in so no dongles or sticks required for on the move net access.

anyone can tell me briefly how 'integrated HSDPA 3G connectivity' works. You get a contract 3G sim card pop it in and internet on the go yeh?

Any sim card with data access will do, contract or PAYG. The HSDPA is fully unlocked so supports all networks.

I've got an o2 data only card on contract and I just popped it in and it connected flawlessly.
