Which upgrade?

Wasn't sure where to post this cause I'm asking about a few things...

Curerntly I have:

A64 2800 @2.25
1GB of rubbish PC3200 RAM (pushed it to CAS 2.5)
120GB ATA Hitachi drive

I'm thinking of getting either 2GB of half decent RAM or two nice big SATA drives (RAID 0). Which would give me a better increase in performance? Was thinking the RAM would be good when I start using XP64. Thanks in advance...

It depends where the bottleneck is in your current system. If you have a super slow HDD then no amount of RAM is gonna help much. Same goes if you have super crap RAM - a Raptor RAID0 aint gonna help ya much lol.

Generally speaking RAM does show the most improvement when you upgrade it.

My personal choice would be to get more RAM and see how that goes. You can always get your RAID0 at a later date
