I saw on http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18074235 that Mantaray said that PCI wireless adapter is better than a USB.

I have a Netgear DG834GT wireless router (108Mbps Super G) currently attached to my PC. I want to move the router downstairs and have it plugged into the BT master socket.

Which PCI wireless adapter shall I get that will be compatible with my Netgear router? I assume all manufactures products are compatible with one another?

Thanks

w.

you need a pci card with the same chipset to get guaranteed full speed compatibility at 108mbps

but any 54g card will connect

I believe 108 super g is an atheros chipset technology look for something that has atheros or specifcally mentions 108mbps super G (not turbo or anthing simialr)

Unfortunately its really hard to advise as most makers change chipsets every during a productsl ifetime

it will work and could be a good card, very unlikey to go above 54mbps with your router though due to different chipset issue.

OCUK do not sell a 108mbps pci card as draft N and N models are newer technology
