Which Video Camera?

I am looking to get a video camera in the region of £300 but unsure as to what format is best out of DVD, Mini DV or HDD. I would like to know what format people use here and any recommendations as to what model i should get.

I'm not too sure which model, but either one of the latest Sony or Canons seem to be good. I would recommend MiniDV as imo, HDD and DVD's are all a rip off. Most of the HDD aren't very big so can't hold much, and same with DVD's. And also MiniDV's usually have the best quality over all.

Yeah Mini DV is still the best in my opinion and I always recommend Sony - can't be beaten in my opinion
