Which video encoders can use the MP4 hardware encoder on my 970?

I read about an old nvidia one but it seems to be discontinued.

NVENC H.264? That's what springs to mind anyway.

Thanks, that's a useful start. Looks like a few programs can use that for screen recording. So far it doesn't seem that any maintained programs use it for transcoding.

I think it will just take some load of the CPU than compared to say x264. Thus far, I haven't tried using NVENC much.

Nero Recode 2017 seems to support NVENC. I might get that. If anyone has experience with it feel free to share. My main hesitation is that Nero software tends to be bloated these days.
