Im busy pushing my E6600 again and im up to 3.4ghz now
I am setting the vcore to 1.45v in the bios
CPU-Z however is reporting the vcore as 1.4v

Upon checking the bios again even tho I have set the vcore to 1.45v the current setting is reading 1.4v

Set Value Current Value
Vcore 1.45v 1.40v

Is there a reason for this?
Should I beleive that it is actually 1.4v?

It could be vdroop although I don't really understand the concept of it but it sounds like it.

What motherboard do you have?

On my asus p5n-e sli and my 6600 @ 3.4 my vcore in bios is 1.45 aswell but in cpuz it varies from 1.424 to 1.44 but sometimes drops to 1.40.

cheers chaps
dsnt really matter now anyway it was still unstable and needed even more voltage which pushed my cooling to the limit
3.3ghz is much better at only 1.4v (1.35v reported lol)
