Which voltage?

i was just wondering where is the best place to get vcore voltage, in bios mines at 1.26 but in windows with cpu-z and AI suite, it says 1.192 which is stock. Which is more likely to be right?

i just don't want to over volt my cpu, and as its still unknown about what is the max voltage to put through 45nm then i do worry

Well my current overclock is as follows:

Clockspeed: 3500 (389 x 9)
Vcore: Bios: 1.20625
AI suite / CPUz: 1.184

Temps: Coretmep: 40 degrees
AI suite: 27 degrees

Prime 95 stable for 20 mins, thats all ive tested it so far with large ftt's

is that ok or should i maybe change the voltage a bit? would the fact that its undervolted (according to cpu z) harm it in any way over prolonged use?

should i put the voltage up to 1.192 which was stock voltage? will undervolting harm my cpu? and in bios my voltage is at 1.20625, windows apps say 1.184, which is more likely? dont have a multimeter handy.

So i ran small FTTs and was still going strong after half an hour with temps at 54 using coretemp and 42 using AI suite, i dont know what the problem with yours was but mines perfectly fine. looks like 389 x 9 is ok for me.

Ive been checking my cpu voltages using various programs: cpu-z everest and AI suite, they all say 1.184v, now in the bios i read 1.2625, this was what i set to get a stable overclock, now im worried about which is right as i dont want to over volt my cpu especially as the voltage they can take safely is still unknown, any ideas on whats right?

When people say that a chip can only take so many volts are they basing that on a os application or the actual bios reading?

ok cool, well its stable enough, 30 mins small ftts is good enough for me it think.

so undervolted cpu is not a bad thing as long as its stable?
