Im currently with PIA but ive been getting poor speeds no matter which server ive been connecting to. My 150mb virgin connection without PIA can download from newsgroups at 16mb+ but via PIA im only getting 11mb.

Can anyone recommend a different VPN with good speeds?.

If you have SSL enabled on Newsgroups then ISPs/other people cant see what you are downloading just the server that its coming from so VPN isnt usually used I dont think. But apart from that I cant comment I use PIA and it maxes me but im only on 17mbs.

As above, you don't need a VPN for Usenet. If you're paranoid use SSL (from your NSP) but nobody really cares about downloaders, just uploaders. Heck VM even provide free newsgroup access (from Highwinds), though it's limited to 30 days retention and doesn't have SSL. Just get a decent provider with a block account on a different backbone and you're good to go.

PIA speeds in general used to be excellent but they're nowhere near as good as they used to be. They're a pretty crappy company as well, in how they treat users, their ethics and the way they manage the service. I recommend AirVPN, which is way better in every sense.

VPN don't increase your speed if you want to improve speed then contact with your ISP and ask for more MBs for your internet usage. trying other VPN can't solve your issue.

Well, no, OP isn't maxing his 152mbit connection with PIA so the question is valid.

As above, dont bother with vpn.
