Which Water Additive?

What's the recommended water additive these days?

My bottle of Purple Ice is almost done and though it was great at reducing noise it would always leave a white residue on the tubing. So given that I might as well get another bottle of something, what do I get?

Don't bother currently but when I have it's been swiftech hydrx. Lovely colour too

does that zerex serve as anti alge ( sp?) too ?... do you use it neat ?

ZEREX BLOWS... my system has only been in 2months and it needs draining and cleaning... i have water wetter last time and it went for over 4months without need of change... so im still looking for a better water additive

I've had absolutely nothing but copper and deionised water for about 4 months with no ill effects?

Still not sold on this additive idea..

I usually use Halfords Coolant Conditioner but I understand they've stoped selling it. For the latest build I use HydrX simply because it came free with the kit. If you don't have mixed metals and use deionised water, additives really aren't needed.
