Which water coolant?

I have a swiftech Apex water cooled rig that needs 'topping up'. It is currently 'filled' with Armari's PF-5080. However, Armari no longer stock it so I cannot purchase any more.

I found a place that sells FC-77, which I am told is pretty much the same stuffas PF-5080, although they cannot be mixed together. Therefore, I have to replace all of the coolant and can't just top it up. The problem is that FC-77 is about £75 ex VAT and delivery for just over half a litre. I remember the PF-5080 was expensive, but this is too much!

So, are there any cheaper alternatives? I've been looking in to Fluid XP+ Extreme, Zerex and Hydrx. I also fancy a bit of a change, so I would preferably like something that I could dye.

What would be your recommendations and why?

Many thanks.

Welcome,

I'd recommend de-ionised or distilled water with Zerex or Hydrx.

Why? : £1 max per litre for water and £3 or £4 for the addative.
