which way to go

I have aways used AMD but am now ready to build my self a new pc but I dont know which to get do I go for the
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.33GHz or
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ AM2 3.0GHz
with mem GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC8500C5 1066MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
so intel or AMD
the rest will be a crosfire MB and 2 ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI have not decided on MB yet.

Intel is currently the front-runner, by some distance. If you can find another £73 in your budget have a go on the G0 Q6600 quad-core, it's a beauty.
