I'm still in the early stages of trying to find a laptop from £700 to £900 closer to the 7 being my preference but the 9 for the right one. I won't even go into the intel vs amd concept just yet but I'm trying to get my head around the huge amount of configurations there are to choose from , 9th gen or 10 gen cpu etc etc etc. However at the moment below are some basic run downs of spec but which is the best way to go .

  • Intel® Core™ i7-10750H Processor
  • RAM: 8 GB / Storage: 512 GB SSD
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB better cpu lesser gpu and ram or
  • ntel® Core™ i5-10300H Processor
  • RAM: 16 GB / Storage: 512 GB SSD
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB lesser cpu but more ram and better gpu .
the only reason im considering the rtx 2060 if for the ray tracing ( if its possible ) as far as perforamnce goes the 1660 will be fine.

People will probably want / need to know what you're going to be using the laptop for and if it's not just games, the specific programs.

It may make the hardware choices easier :)

I know it makes sense to wait but I'm not I want to wait and wait and wait ( supply issues etc etc etc ). So back to the above original question.

the kids school stuff, web and basic office stuff
If you're not gaming on the laptop an AMD 4000 or 5000 without discreet graphics would be fast enough, no point in paying extra for something that will just reduce battery life.
