Which Windows CD for Maxdata COE

Hi, I have bought a Maxdata PC with XP Pro COE (Maxdata on the COE) but cannot get XP to install.

I have even tried a corporate version of XP and corporate Key but it just says invalid key during install (not activation failure, cannot get that far through the install!).

What version of Windows XP Pro CD do I need?

You will need the relevant OEM XP disk for that manufacturer.

You need a Windows XP OEM CD.

I'd assume you'd need an OEM copy, it should say on the COA sticker.

From experience, any standard Microsoft OEM Windows XP Pro should do. With the exception of DELL OEM CDs.

Ah that explains it, I tried the Dell OEM disc that was supplied with my laptop. I shall try another and report back.

Ah yes, fair point thinking about it, usually only ever dealing with Dell OEM machines

. Thinking about it, I believe older HP keys were the same in that they require the right OEM disk.
