which Windows for HTPC?

im building my first HTPC. just wanted to know which Windows or OS are you guys using for HTPC?

Vista Home Premium 64. Works fine with my HTPC although I don' really use Media Centre as Media Player and VLC Player handle everything fine.

vista 32 home premium, not everything works 100% in vista 64 yet

This, had 64 bit on mine previously but in media center it seemed to stutter like a mad man when playing .mkv HD files. Changed to 32bit and it was absolutely fine, not a single problem.

Ah the Vista Home Premium was the one I was looking at.

edit: Ok just read your comments on 32bit and 64bit

How about the Windows XP Media Center Edition?

It's older and not as good as the newer versions provided with Vista (Not sure if they've released an update for XP).

Not 100% sure it's compatiable if you want to stream from a Vista machine. Anyone confirm this?

I'm using XP + MediaPortal for the actual media centre part of it.
