Hi guys

From watching reviews and working within some budget params, I've put together this shortlist, alongside the manufacturer's D2C prices.

I know it's all about preference and what you need the machine for, but in terms of pure value and key points that you think I may have missed, I'd love to hear which machine you guys would go for?

I wouldn't touch anything made by ASUS with a barge pole as their customer service is awful & good luck trying to claim anything under warranty. The Dell has more cores & threads than the Lenovo, which would be my second choice, so I'd go for that.

Cheers for the input!

What's your first choice then?

Or are you saying your first choice (spec wise) would've been the Asus, but you're discounting it because of their poor customer service?

I'd rule out the Dell because:
The H cpus get too hot and throttle.
And I wouldn't have a 720p webcam.
And no bluetooth is rubbish also.

I'd rule out the Samsung because:
price is high for seemingly no reason.

I'd be inclined to trust Lenovo over Asus as a reputable laptop manufacturer.

I think they're all over-priced for what they are. So wouldn't buy any. Which actually is my situation, I'd like a laptop but they aren't good value. That performance can be had in a pc for half the price.

and I'm a bit suspicious because a new account just asked me a market research question.

No need to be suspicious, although looking at my Excel table, I can't blame you.

I'm going to plump for the Lenovo, if i can get it sub-£100 due to the better webcam, which is a feature I think of like to prioritise.
