At the end of the month I will be getting my ssd and hdd. But what windows do I get. I used to love xp. And I've tried windows 10 but found it hard to navigate. I've been without a pic/laptop for so long now I don't know where to begin.

Even tho you didn't get on with W10 I would suggest this. Copies of W7 will become harder to come by and newer hardware may not function properly on it as drivers where not designed for W7.

Are you building a desktop PC? if you liked the XP\7 these you can get programs like classic shell to make it look like windows 7

Yes I'm building a desktop. I won't be playing super crazy games, I'll build up to that as and when money comes available. But I do prefer the older look of xp/7. But I certainly don't want to limit myself. I probably just need to give 10 a better chance.

install classic shell and you can get it to look like windows 7, maybe even a bit like XP.

This is what I did with W8 as there was no start menu.

No start menu sounds like a nightmare, I'd have no clue where to start (pun intended) haha. Seriously though that software looks perfect for me. I'll look into that once I get up and running. I'll go with 10 because I dont want compatibility issues in the future.
