Which wireless mouse?

I would recommend the Logitech Performance MX , i have 2 now :D:D

+1

These are great I have one myself.

  • Darkfield laser - Works on glass
  • wireless - battery lasts for just under 2 weeks (used everyday for about 7 hours if not more at weekends)
  • Unify receiver (can use one USB dongle for multi Logitech wireless gear)

I could go on and on, but seriously check the reviews

i was about to post a similar thread - and was looking at the same mouse too :o

billysielu - i get what you mean - but wired annoys me no end, plus am a fair ways away from the PC so have to have wireless anyway :)

waiting for that mouse to go down a little though.

If you absolutely must go wireless - go with the Logitech mouse originally suggested.

I have the Razer Mamba which is a fantastic mouse - but the battery won't make it though a full day's gaming. You have the option to connect it via USB to continue gaming and recharge it. Once you've done that a few times you end up leaving it plugged in.

This is why I always suggest the Razer Deathadder - it's basically a cheaper, wired version of the Mamba.

I heard there's a power-saving feature on the mouse, if you leave it for 30 seconds it turns off and there's a delay to start it again? Can anyone confirm this/elaborate this? Or is it old news?

Id rate the Microsoft X8 highly too, and I'm on my second one.

The recharging tool can be a bit of a pain if it plays up, but that's basically down to the cable weight being to much for the magnetic clip underneath. Because of this it doesn't make adequate contact to allow the mouse to charge, and you basically need a bit of tape to make propper contact. This failed on me after just under a year, so I RMA'd it. It suits larger hands though, 22cm in diameter +. I got it at Dixons online for like £45 - bargin.

The Razer Mamba is incredibly expensive for what it is, and it EATS batteries too. The X8 is fantastic with battery life.

You don't get any lag with 2.4ghz wireless technology these days.

And "lag" that may or may not be there is gonna play pitance compared to your ping vs other players for FPS. Its not even worth considering how small a difference it'll make.
