Which Wireless PCI Card

Hi all,

Does anyone here have any experience getting any wireless PCI cards sold on OCUK to work on Linux?

I currently have a WMP54G, and have tried fwcutter and ndiswrapper, with no luck whatsoever, so I've just decided to get a more Linux-friendly card. Problem is, it all depends on the chipset, and no vendor ever lists the chipsets, presumably because they keep changing.

With all that in mind, can someone recommend a PCI card from OCUK that will work (preferably out of the box) on Linux? Specifically, I am using Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06).

Cheers,

DF

(p.s. Sorry for x-post. Someone on the n/w forum suggested I post here - hadn't noticed there was a Linux forum)

Yeah - mine's one of the Broadcom ones. If the ones currently on the shelves are rt2500, I'll try one of those. It's only £15, so I'll throw caution to the wind and give it a shot!

Thanks for your help.
