Which Wireless Router allows networkable printers?

Hi,

I have just been givern a Colour Laser printer that accepts network,
And think its time now to upgrade modem aswell so Im looking for a Router that will accept a laser printer via rj45 socket.
I know netgear are good but would that work with the printer or is there any more out there that are wireless?

It doesn't matter if the printer has the server built into it.

What printer is it. But Caged is right, if its got a network card built in then its almostly certainly going to have print server built in

Its a Minolta
Magicolor 5430DL

Its got a network port on the back if that helps

I would say that you just need to plug it into any router and away you go. You will probably need to set its ip address manually if it isnt set to use dhcp. Consult your manual for this. Its also bound to have a web admin interface at its ip adresss.

also would I need to use a network patch or crossover cable? to link router to printer?

Shouldn't make any difference, the router will have switch ports which should be auto sensing.

That said, patch cable would be seen to be the 'proper' way to go.
