Which wordpress plugin to enable subscriptions to a blog?

Hi all,

Got a couple of blogs I work on and manage. All run by Wordpress.

I'd like to enable people to be able to subscribe to these. What plugin do you recommend to allow them to do this? Something non-intrusive would be preferred.

What do ye say?

Subscribe as in pay money?

Or just to be notified by email when a new entry is posted?
