Which "Worms" version to get? (Steam)

Hey guys

I love my tanks strategy games e.g. Scorched Earth and A Tanks etc. Also played Worms World Party extensively during my uni years.

This is the current list on Steam, the first 11 being Worms-related. Just wondered on what your favourite version is? I'm visually impaired so will probably prefer one of the 2D games. I can see there is a remastered version of Worms World Party on there for £11. Might go for that?

Buy it now if you really want it ASAP and would like to support the dev.

But it also goes on deep discount fairly regularly if you want to be cheap and can wait.

Armageddon if you like to do proper roping and have fun on city maps etc. New games are crap really and is mainly just normal worms gameplay. Which can be boring after awhile. Roping about like in arma is a lot of fun.

We play reloaded a bit and it's good fun. Didn't feel like a big departure from the originals tbh.

Hehe that was one fun game, nothing more funny then roping over your m8 then prodding him off a ledge.

Any but the 3D ones simply because worms is an awesome game from the original style and think hey ruined it 3D like sonic for example.

World Party is Armageddon plus a little bit more plus online multiplayer (although that may have been added into Armageddon by now). Many many many many many many many hours lost to Worms World Party!

yea worms reloaded is pretty good, also be on the lookout for worms wmd, due for steam release late August, it could be worth a try, but the £20 launch price release may put a few people off

Worms World Party Remastered isn't bad, but I would probably goes for Worms Reloaded.

WA is good, but unless it has steam friends support included, I would not buy it at that price either. (Reloaded definately has it, WWP:R I think has it.)

Worms armageddon was patched by fans who had the source code and had permission from team 17 for a LONG time updating it and fixing and improving things, for mp and normal play and the engine such as dx9 support. It is far superior to wwp in that regard as wwp wasnt touched with patches like arma was.

Armageddon is still an absolutely amazing game to play with friends. It's a timeless game that you can't help but have a good laugh while playing.

The difference is that the version on Steam is WWP Remastered, updated by Team17.

WWP for me only because that was the version I played to death "back in the day".
unsure what the differences are between that and armogeddon

This, i got all of the worms games for something like £3 on steam sales. If you wait it will come again.

Or use something like g2play to get them cheap anyway.

Few years back when some of my friends used to play it a lot WWP (non-remastered) was the best one but without that then Armageddon.
