Hey people

I'm new here and I just needed to ask which monitor would be best for me.
I'm going to be using it just for my 360 as my TV is broken and i can't get a TV signal in my room anyway. Also i won't be needing a DVI connection

19 inches will be the right size as I'm only sitting about 5 Foot away from the TV.
I'm not too sure what i need to look for in a monitor, I searched and apparently you need a refresh rate below 16ms and the higher the contrast ratio the better so I have picked out these 3.

Atm I think I shall get the LG but I need to know whther it's a good chioce or not.

I have that ASUS monitor listed above (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...rodid=MO-003-AS), it's soon to be replaced by a DELL 2407WFP, but it's a fantastic monitor and I can give it my recommendation.

Hey i also have the ASUS screen and also thinking about getting that Dell Monitor not sure yet though.

Its a toss up between the Dell One:

Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor

and:

LG L245WP 24" Widescreen HDMI LCD Monitor

I just cant decide. :D

But to FightingTurtles go for the ASUS screen. ;)

I'd personally go for the Dell. Haven't received mine yet but I'm sure it's fantastic. :D

Friday when I find out - can't wait!

But yeah, ASUS 19" would be a great choice for FightingTurtles. Either that or the Samsung!

Yeah i cant decide. I have an all black theme going on, apart from my Keyboard that is black but has a very classy silver base.

Just wondering if the Dell silver stand will ruin this black theme or enhance it. :p :D

Look who it is my best freidn Shine lol :p :D .

Still having trouble deciding lol.

:D

I'd go for the larger screen every time. The extra space is amazing and the dell is a quality monitor.

Is anything else you're thinking of getting? I'm sure I've already got it. :p

For some reason I thought you were looking at 19" or 24"! Both are nice screens, there are offers to be had on the Dell at the moment so you could probably get that a lot cheaper than the LG. Depends if you need HDMI or not.

Nope i dont really need HDMI. They both look very nice screens. Hows your Dell stand, is it well built, just been reading a few reviews on the Dell and they say that the stand is a bit flimsy?

How much have you seen the dell screen for Shine? If its quite a bit cheaper probably most likely go for the Dell.

You got msn?

What problems have you read about the stand? I've had none, in fact other than adjusting the colours/brightness I've been very happy with it ever since I took it out of the box.

Xbox360 only supports a few VGA resolutions, cannot remember them all but 1280*1024 is one of them.

I'm pretty sure if your monitor is not on the list of supported resolutions, then you are gonna have a stretched image.

That is my understanding anyway, but correct me if i'm wrong 'cos i'm certainly no expert in this matter :p

I'm looking for a new display for my 360 also, i'd prefer a monitor as i have no need for the Tv functions.
