ive had my quad at [email protected] now ive changed it to 8x400,surley the 8x400 would be better than the other wouldnt it,cheers for the advice

With all other factors the same then yes 8x400 will, in my oppinion, in most situations, be very slightly better.

a higher FSB is always better than a higher multiplier
