Which would be the better CPU?

Hi

Other half is getting a laptop and I was wondering which of these CPUS would be the better one

Quad-core AMD A8-3500M processor

or

Intel® Core™ i5-2410M processor

She will mainly be using it browsing,emails,watching DVDs etc,no gaming

Both are probably overkill for this but she did mention to me she wanted an i5 and came across the AMD while looking....

The Intel is the better CPU, the GPU onboard is pretty good for basic stuff. The AMD A8 has a far better GPU but weaker CPU performance. Both are easily capable for your needs. I'd go for the A8
