I have both of these motherboard cpu combos, one of which I am going to use as a home server and one as a gaming machine, which would you choose for which? I am currently not overclocking and have no real plans to. My Dilemma is The Z77X motheboard is better all around but the 4790 is faster but not by a lot.
I am currently using the Z77X combo as a server with 4 Drives in it and I have an MSI B85I which has problems which I am using with the 4790 for gaming. I am planning on buying a new Gfx card soon ( probably a GTX 1070 but currently I am using a GTX 770.
