Can't decide which is the better deal. Both are the same bar the following differences:

Dell

I7 4510u
16gb ddr3 1600
GT 750M 2GB DDR5
22mm thick
£700

Asus

I7 4710u
8gb ddr3
GT 850M, 2GB
27mm thick
£800

Hate making decisions, help!

:D

For my money i'd go for the asus assuming all other considerations are equal. A good rule is to always go for the best you can afford. The 850 is a better card for gaming imo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e933iIyIgMQ benchmark video).

If it's for gaming, very little can utilise 16G RAM. 8 is fine. I wonder if the Asus is upgradable should you want/need 16G RAM?

Also is size and weight a factor?

Currently all specs are the same, however the company I'm dealing with assure the asus is 1080p, however after questioning it they've put it on their site as 768. I'm not too confident on getting the asus due to this as the exact same thing happened with a different laptop and different company last week, I can't be bothered to go through all that again.

With the saving on the dell I'll strip out the hdd and stick a SSD in its place.

Thickness and weight matters, I don't want a massive lump, 3cm is my limit, both under that and the dell well under.

It will be used for all sorts, gaming deffo, but also steam streaming.

I convinced myself, I went with the dell. Too much hassle with asus ATM and their lying spec sheets.
