Which would you rather happened?

World Cup without a doubt, imagine the parties after, everyone will have enjoyed the whole world cup, everytime england played there would be a feel good factor. The whole country would be on a high for months.

Is the right answer :)

It's weird isn't it? Most Liverpool fans I have asked the same question to have given exactly the same answer. England to win the world cup if given the choice of the Champions League. As soon as the prem comes into the equation all signs of patriotism disappear.
I guess it's due to us winning the CL the other year where as the league has been a while

Arsenal win the CL by miles. It's not that I'm unpatriotic, but it's because I watch Arsenal week in week out for two years, whereas England will play in a competition once in that same length of time.

So I'd rather we win the CL. The fact that we've never won it before may have something to do with it :)

Also I find it slightly hippocritical that some people scream till they're blue in the face for their domestic side or against those players which play for their rivals, but then seem to put that aside completely for seven or so matches (at most I think..). It doesn't really make sense, you can't hate Gary Neville one moment but then be cheering him on in the next?

Club over country? Yeap, you betcha! Again, I'm not unpatriotic, I'm merely saying that I'm not going to be cheering AS LOUDLY for england as I did for Arsenal on may 17.

Winning the CL would be my choice, as I've put in 25 years effort and money into watching them, whereas I've only seen half a dozen England matches.

Having said that, COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

Liverpool > England tbh. I would rather see Liverpool win the Premiership and/or Champions League again over England winning the WC. The health of the Liverpool players is also more important than England winning the WC. A serious injury to Gerrard or Carragher would be an absolute disaster for Liverpools season.
