Hi all, I really love my WW2 games, especially FPS ones and I'm looking to purchase one to satisfy my hunger for WW2 stuff.

There are a couple of games I've been looking into getting but I can't make my mind up on which one and I'd also greatly appreciate any other game suggestions:

Call of Duty: World at War
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Wolfenstein 2009

Ones I already own:

RTCW
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
COD1
COD2
Hidden and Dangerous
Battlefield 1942
Day of Defeat Source

Cheers

Have you played H&D 2 and it's expansion pack, Sabre Squadron?. I loved them both, well worth seeking out and you should be able to pick them up for next to nothing now.

CoD: WaW was fun and Wolfenstein 2009 was also a good play. If I had to pick between the two I would say CoD : WaW.

I played the demo of H&D2 and I didn't really like it. I might give it another go just to see, but my first initial impression wasn't really that good..

I beta tested COD: WaW and really liked it, even if it was only multiplayer, but a lot of people's reviews about it not being as good as COD4 and COD2 put me off getting it. However, now disregarding those, I'm now interested in it again.

I really enjoyed the Wolfenstein 2009 demo also, so it's a tough choice.

I've never played any of the Brothers In Arms games before but Hell's Highway looks the business, but then again like with COD: WaW a lot of people say it isn't as good as the previous ones.

So, I think it's down to either COD:WAW or BiA: Hell's highway. Can't decide which one will make the best single player experience. I need more people to post their experiences. Keep them coming. :p

Well gonna give Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway a try, saw it online for £4.99 - so can't really complain, but can't say where because they are a competitor. So I'll see what it's like and if it isn't what I am hoping for I think I'll give COD:WAW a try. Only thing is I can't seem to find COD:WAR anywhere relatively cheap.

Oh I also tried out Medal of Honor Airborne demo today (I played it before but forgot what it was like) and I was pretty impressed but I can see how it might get really repetitive over other WW2 games. The sound fx in the game were pretty damn amazing though.

Well I don't necessarily disregard strategy games, it's just I haven't really been into them for a while. I used to play a lot of the Close Combat games. I may take you up on your suggestion about Solider: Heroes of WW2 though.
