I am looking at a new soundcard to replace my Audigy 2ZS Pro, as well as eventually my whole pc. My PC is mainly used for gaming and listening to MP3's occasionaly.

I'm looking at either the;

* Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Soundcard - Retail (SC-045-CL)
or
* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music - OEM (SC-043-CL)

Which would be better? Or are they both pretty much identical cards?

Just be careful with the OEM version, I'm not sure if you get the drivers/applications on a CD with it?

I use my Music version for games and audio, no problems at all. :)

With the OEM version all you do get is the card and the installation disk :)

what, if any...are the differences between the two cards then? Is one more powerful or got more features?

Just curious really as i noticed the gamer on special offer this week.

Wanting to know the answer to this also, was about to order the Xtreme Music but then the gamer popped up on This Week Only.
