Seeing what OCUK have on preorder at the moment, trying to decide which to get.

I'm edging towards the PowerColor x1950 pro in a 512 meg variety, singing to the tune of £187.99 (inc VAT). Seems to be the highest clocker at 600 mhz with a nice amount of memory too.

Everyone with me on this one or should I consider alternatives?

Not sure I can justify that, £240 on this week only for the 512 mb variety.

That's £50 over my gfx budget and I need to factor in a new motherboard.

I'm not going with the Nvidia option.

I'm not going for AGP. Decided it's time to move on to PCIE.

In which case I'm sure Loadsamoney would agree ( ;) )that an x1900xt (256, or there are some 512s in the clearence section) would be the way to go.

The reviews seem to agree that the X1950Pro (PCIE) is a replacement for the X1900GT, and as such is slower than the X1900XT.

If looking for a 512MB card then that PowerColor does look good. The other card to seriously look at i would think are the X1900XT 256MB (faster with less ram) or PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB GDDR3 @ £205.61
