I'm price conscious so was wondering if the XT is worth it over the pro. Will the pro do 1080p?

Thanks,
Philip

I went for the XT in the end. I was going to spend 800-1000 on the rig, so the extra £50 seems worth it to me.

Thanks for the link too, seems the frame rates really benefit from the extra pipelines in the core. :D

Thanks,
Philip

We'll they're based on the same core, so I suspect there is little in it. At the time I bought (Friday) the HIS was cheaper. It also clearly states that it can do 1080p and is HDCP ready. Those are requirements for me, so it was the best choice at the time. :D

The cooler on the HIS card also gets great reviews. Quiet and efficient.

I've been having some problems with my rig, but have now booted it. Initial impressions are that the HIS XT is almost silent. Even with the side covers off, I can barely hear it. Top marks!
