Currently it's a toss up between the xtreme audio and the xtreme gamer. What are the major differences between the two? Is the xtreme gamer worth the extra money?

Xtreme Gamer all the way. For £46 its a steal.

Dont get the Xtreme audio as it has no hardware EAX accelleration at all, so its useless for gaming.

Thanks meatloaf. It will be mainly used in a gaming rig. :)

Get the X-fi Xtreme music mate...Much better than the xtreme gamer. You should be able to pick one up for around £50 OEM. :D

Theres no difference between them mate, just a different PCB design. Ive had both ;)

But given the choice i would have got the Extreme Music bit ocuk have stopped doing them :)
