I have been offered 2 computerS and I can not decide which is best for my sons xmas present.

Please guys can you help.

6gb of cruical ram (with leds on the top looks very nice lights speed up when your using more ram)

Option 2, the Q6600 is a cracking CPU, the P35 M/B won't leave you wanting anything, and the 8800 despite being a little old will hold its own nicely. The only issue with option 2 is you are paying for a monitor you don't want and you're only getting 2 gig of RAM, but that can be remedied for not much extra cash.
 
It's a no-brainer as long as the second system is fully functional and as described. The first system has unnecessary extras (memory with flashing lights, sound card), has a poor graphics card, and doesn't give enough detail on important parts (e.g. the motherboard and CPU). The second has just one shortcoming, the shortage of memory, which can be rectified fairly simply and cheaply as and when necessary.
