Hi guys.

I'm planning on moving away from my Z77 and 3770k setup as the pci-e x16 spacing on my board is a bit naff with it being micro size. Looking for a decent mobo that I can fill 2 pci-e x16 slots and have the largest amount of space in between the cards. What would you recommend?

The Asus Z97 pro features a good gap between primary pcie slots. Used the Z77 v pro model with non ref cards in sli. Much better spaced than my more expensive Z87 board in sig. But with skylake coming very soon on the new Z107 platform, might be worth waiting on it if going to a new setup.

eta on that setter? as you know, went for two 390s, bottom one stays around 65c but top one hitting 80c under load. 15c difference is quite a bit, this micro z77 i got is showing its age lol.

Next month, no concrete dates as such yet. But pics of some of the boards are on the forums here. 6700k will replace the 4790k, and ddr4 for the first time on mainstream. Regarding your temps, have you tried adjusting the fan curve? Helped a bit using a 1-1 ratio with my 780's. If the cooler on the gaming 390's is anything like on the 980ti, you can run it quite high for very little increase in noise.
